Toll discount from 17 highways during the Chinese New Year.

Kajang - Minister of Works Datuk Shaziman announced today that, 17 highways in the country are to offer discount ranging from 5% to 20% at different date and time for the first time with immediate effect until teh Chinese New Year.

Of which, the North-South Expressway (PLUS) is to offre 20% at designated date and time.

Free rides at Karak and East-Coast Expressway

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur-KArak Highway and East-Coast Highway are offering free rides from 11.30pm on Feb 11 till 4.30am on Feb 12, and also from 11.30pm on Feb 15 till 4.30am on Feb 16.

Motorists driving sedan and using PLUS will be paying discount toll rate at RM11.02 per km on Feb 10, 11, 12 17, 18 and 19; while motorists driving sedan and using Morth-South Expressway Central Link (Elite) will enjoy discounted toll rate at RM12.11 per km on those dates.

Datuk Shaziman said, of 26 toll concessionaires in the country, 17 are to participate in this Corporate Sosial Responsibility campaign by offering discounted toll rate, including Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), New Pantai Expressway (NPE), Ceras-Kajang Expressway and etc.

He said, this is the first time that so many toll cencessionaires are to offer toll discount to motorist, he hopes that this campain will be extended to other festive seasons like Hari Raya, Deepavali and dtc.

Shaziman added, although it is a not big discount, it is these toll concessionaires' Chinese New Year Angpow for the motorists, it also reflect highway companies' concern to motorists.

He said these today after launching Kajang-Seremban Expressway's Chinese New Year Road Safety Campaign and the Toll Free Campaign.
